Are you in contact with lasers in a hospital/medical setting but not expected to fire the laser, be a Laser Safety Officer or a Laser Operator or are using low-level laser (cold laser)?

Understand how laser work and how to minimise risks with our simple to understand, online basic laser safety course that you can do in your own time, at your own pace.

This laser safety training is designed to arm you with all the knowledge you need to understand how lasers work and to ensure laser safety compliance in various medical settings.

Who is it for?

Any nursing, medical, dental, allied health or other person in contact with a laser in the operating theatre or other medical/health setting.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

This course is benchmarked against international (IEC 60825-1: 2014 Safety of laser products - Part 1: Equipment classification and requirements) and Australia/New Zealand (AS/NZS 4173: 2018 Safe use of lasers and intense light sources in health care) laser safety standards.

This course is endorsed for the application for a laser user’s licence in Queensland (ED - 252), Western Australia and Tasmania.
