Is there practical experience included with my course?

In short, the answer is no…but! Practical experience is always a challenge to get, especially in times of border closures and restricted travel. Where we can, we'll help you get what you need.

Our laser/IPL courses are all online and can be done at your own pace. There is a mix of practical videos to watch as well as some reading, some quizzes to test your knowledge as you go and a final exam which is open book. The courses are theory based and cover both safety and practical theory, we meet all Australian standards for safety and even provide the certification for certain states that require licensing.

It is only in TAS, QLD and WA where practical hours are mandatory for license application, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, all other states do not require practical experience to go into the workforce and/or open your own business.

But, at Bravura Education we understand each student is different and therefore has different needs. It is for this reason that we provide practical training for those who want it, and let’s face it, any education is never a bad thing, right?

Our trainer of choice is based in her own clinic in Lismore, NSW and with border restrictions easing up, we are happy to provide individual quotes for students who are interested in spending time with her one-on-one training at her clinic. She is also able to complete logbooks if required and competency assessment.

When requesting a quote, please email hello@bravura.edu.au and let us know:

• What treatment(s) you would like training in?
• If you have any previous experience in laser/IPL
• What state you are from (and if it is a logbook requirement)?
• Evidence of your laser safety certification as a minimum
• Proposed dates
• How many staff you have or plan to have
• The make/model of your machine
• Has it had all the required services, and is the warranty valid?
• Do you have the original user manual?

We will usually get back to you within 48 hours to propose the time needed to fulfil your learning needs and a quote for your consideration.

It is definitely worth mentioning that if you are planning to go into business and buying your own machine, any quality supplier will be more than willing to provide you with practical training as part of the sale price. Of course, we would love to see you in Lismore, but it would be unfair not to make you aware of this.
