Adjunct Associate Professor Elissa O’Keefe RN, NP is a trailblazer in the health industry, celebrated as the ACT’s first Nurse Practitioner and a highly experienced clinician and educator. She holds an honorary role at the University of Canberra and is affiliated with the Synergy Nursing and Midwifery Research Centre.
Elissa has contributed significantly to the field of cosmetic nursing, authoring the first chapter on the subject in an undergraduate textbook, leading the Australian College of Nursing's Cosmetic Nursing Community of Interest, and co-authoring the first Australian standards and scope of practice for cosmetic nursing.
